1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account and using DefineOS, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
DefineOS is an AI-assisted product requirements document (PRD) authoring tool. The service helps product managers define decisions, identify gaps, and collaborate with stakeholders through structured AI interrogation.
3. Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately at support@defineos.com if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the API
- Upload content that is harmful, defamatory, or violates third-party rights
- Share access credentials with unauthorized parties
- Use the service to generate content intended to mislead or defraud
5. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of all PRD content you create using DefineOS. By using the service, you grant DefineOS a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process your content solely to provide the service.
The DefineOS software, design, and AI prompting systems are the intellectual property of DefineOS and may not be reproduced without permission.
6. Payment and Subscriptions
Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All fees are non-refundable except as described in our refund policy (7-day refund on first-time upgrades). We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.
7. Points System
Points are a virtual currency within DefineOS used to access AI-intensive features. Points have no monetary value and cannot be transferred, sold, or redeemed for cash. Unused points on the Free plan expire at the end of each month. Pro and Team plan points roll over indefinitely while the subscription is active.
8. Service Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance that temporarily makes the service unavailable. We are not liable for losses resulting from service interruptions.
9. Limitation of Liability
DefineOS is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including but not limited to business losses resulting from AI-generated content.
10. Termination
You may close your account at any time from the settings page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
